I'd recommend Rosies for the food, service and vibe. The tortillas are fresh made which is always a treat. The menu is simple and everything I have had is good and fresh. I recommend the tres leches. This is the sort of charming place that you really want to love... but it doesn't quite hit the 'love' threshold. Still very good and worth the try.

Strong margs = good! The enchiladas were perfectly average (coming from Texas it's hard to find a great enchilada but it was alright)-- Single taco for over $7 and a quesadilla sliver for $10 is a little crazy-- and our friend indeed did get a bit dupped anticipating something more filling! Cheers!

The cutest tortilla bar Mexican restaurant with the BEST SERVICE EVER. I am obsessed with Rosie, our waitress. She was the best girl ever and helped us out on everything. So patient, so sweet, so informative, and so funny. Absolutely adored her. I will be coming back just for her. The passion fruit margarita is deliciouusssss. And the quesabirria tacos were soooo fire. The pescado (fish) taco was so good but the Al pastor taco was mid. Dessert was insane, so many different flavors mixed all together. It was really good but a little too much / too intense for us hahah, should've sticked to something more simple. Overall, such fun casual vibes with tons of tables and seating available at this restaurant. Highly recommend for a fun time.

Such a fun spot on Bowery! Smells like tortillas and the music is Spanish pop/rap. The food was good - I liked the chips and guacamole, wasn't a huge fan of the salsa. The chips are freshly made and they taste fantastic. I got the chorizo, al pastor, and pesacado tacos. Chorizo was spicy and oily, al pastor was yummy with the pineapple, and the fish was light and summery. I liked all three but would only need two next time. The enchiladas were yummy with a side of rice and beans. Our waiter was fun and got food out quickly. I would definitely come back here with a group as they have bigger tables and lots of options. The bar looked really good and I saw lots of people with pitchers of drinks.

I've long wanted to try this restaurant because every time we've walked by it's been busy and people seemed to be enjoying it. This particular Saturday afternoon, we walked down Second Avenue thinking that we hadn't eaten Mexican food in a couple of months, let's have it for dinner tonight. About 2 hours later we decided to go to Rosie's and I made a reservation online. We arrived early and were seated promptly. We'd requested outdoors, probably won't do that again. The shed on 2nd Ave is nice, but the chair closest to the sidewalk was kind of on a slant, and due to the table legs, I felt that I really couldn't get close enough to the table. Plus the chairs are deep and I'm short, so leaning back was definitely not an option! That said, there were plenty of other seats and the indoors was open to the outside; it wasn't so uncomfortable that we needed to ask for different seats. Others near us seemed perfectly satisfied. And the seating didn't interfere with my enjoyment of our meal! We started - so trite, I know - with guac , chips and salsa. A nice bowl of fresh guac, a decent amount of good chips, and 2 salsas, 1 spicy, 1 I thought was sweet but spicy-averse husband thought it had a kick to it. Anyway, really good! For entrée, my husband ordered the vegetarian enchilada. Kudos to our server, Miguel, who immediately realized that the food runner was holding a chicken enchilada and apologized to my husband. Within a few minutes, he got the vegetarian one to the table. Muchas gracias, Miguel! I had the tuna tostadas, an appetizer dish, along with the calabaza taco, and we shared a side of the platanos. Everything, everything, was delicious! Messy for me to eat but we got some extra napkins. And I got a beer, which I almost finished (not the best drinker, lol). They do have a good assortment of mocktails. Too stuffed for dessert! Good service, good food, a new go-to Mexican place!

Rosie's is such a hidden gem! First, they make their tortillas from scratch, and they are DELICIOUS. Rosie's is in a prime location and in nice weather the entire space is open and it's just a really cool location. On top of that, the food is authentic and flavorful, as are the margaritas (must try the watermelons margarita). Highly recommend!

Fun place to go for Mexican. Place is pretty popular so try to book a reservation if you want to be inside with the music/vibes. The passion fruit margarita was delicious and so was the seasonal watermelon. The guac, salsa and chips were so yummy and full of flavor. The guac was a little spicy which I loved but it took my friend by surprise. The birria tacos lacked flavor which was surprising after the delicious guac and salsa. Looking forward to trying something new next time. The hosts and hostesses were very friendly and we had a positive experience overall.

Walked in and got a reservation easily on a Friday night, servers were super accommodating and they had these amazing taco deals- $60 for 10 tacos or $80 for 15 but the portions were much more than that. We got ceviche and guacamole which wasn't anything spectacular. The fish taco was great, I want to try the shrimp next time. The drinks were also rly good!
